How to Block Print a T-shirt

I started playing around with block printing and noticed there aren’t very many tutorials on how to block print on fabric like t-shirts so I made this tutorial. You can make some pretty cool t-shirts this way. In many ways block printing is easier than screen printing (I have a tutorial on that here) and gives a nice, vintage look. Here’s how I do it.

This knot stays tied as well as, if not better than, a standard double knot but can be untied with a quick pull of one of the laces. I’ve been using this knot for over a year and I really like it. Try it and see if you like it too.  Read on…

Repair Sole of Shoe

REpair Sole of ShoeThe rubber on the heel of my fairly new shoe started to peel away from the bottom of the shoe. To fix the problem, I decided to use 5 minute quick set epoxy which cures quickly, is very strong, and bonds to just about any solid I’ve tried it on. Here is quick video on how I made the fix.  Read on…

Bike Tire Belt

Bike Tire BeltI needed a new belt and had an old bike tire laying around so I decided to turn that tire into a “new” belt.  All I needed was a an old bicycle tire, a box cutter, a rubber mallet, a punch set, a rivet set, a belt buckle, and some rivets.  The belt looks great, performs well, and ended up being very inexpensive.  Plus, reusing materials is always a good thing.  A win-win-win!  Read on…
